San Pedro Cactus
Echinopsis pachanoi · Andes, Peru
San Pedro (Echinopsis pachanoi), also called Huachuma, is a fast-growing Andean columnar cactus that has been honoured in Peruvian cultural and ceremonial traditions for thousands of years.
What is San Pedro Cactus?
San Pedro is a tall, ribbed columnar cactus native to the Andes. It is one of the most recognisable sacred plants of the region and has been part of Andean cultural life for millennia.
We offer it dried, as fine powder or as dried skin, sourced responsibly and carefully dried to preserve quality.
Origin & habitat
Native to the high Andes of Peru and Ecuador, San Pedro grows quickly at altitude and has been cultivated for generations. Our material comes from responsible growers in the Peruvian Andes.
Careful drying is essential to quality, which is why we control how each lot is processed and stored.
Tradition & cultural context
San Pedro — Huachuma in Quechua — features in Andean healing and ceremonial traditions that long predate the Spanish arrival. It remains a meaningful cultural symbol today.
We present it for botanical, educational and cultural appreciation only.
Formats & how it is offered
Available as fine powder (50g–250g) and dried skin (50g–100g). Powder is convenient to weigh and store; dried skin keeps the material closest to its natural form.
Both are single-origin and inspected before dispatch.
Sourcing & quality
Direct-trade sourcing keeps our supply honest and our growers fairly recognised. Each lot is dried and stored to protect quality.
Shipping is restricted in some states; please check your local regulations before ordering.
