Mulateiro Hapé is crafted using bark from the Mulateiro tree (Calycophyllum spruceanum), a fast-growing Amazonian hardwood known locally as “the tree of youth” or “Capirona.” Mulateiro is native to Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, and western Brazil, and its bark is one of the most documented plants in Amazonian ethnobotany for its skin-related traditional applications.
In traditional Amazonian practice, Mulateiro bark is used in plant baths and preparations focused on skin health and renewal. Blended with Nicotiana rustica tobacco and plant ash, Mulateiro Hapé carries an earthy, woody botanical profile that is noticeably different from aromatic blends like Cumaru or lighter varieties like Tsunu.
The combination of Nicotiana rustica’s alkaloid activity and Mulateiro’s botanical properties creates a grounding, earthy hapé experience that is traditionally associated with cleansing and revitalization.
Application: kuripe (self-use pipe) or tepi (partner pipe). One insufflation per nostril. Please check your local regulations before ordering.
